I hate that football takes people away from church. ...just sayin.... just go to church!
Well, the baptism summarizes the best part of the week I think. it's been a good week.
We have a good group of investigators but we're struggling with helping them progress. they'll keep some commitments, but not all of them.
The Preach my Gospel manual defines a progressing investigator as someone who has had 2 or more lessons and are keeping commitments.
So as I was studying preach my gospel, I noticed a subtle promise. If you want to help your investigators progress, improve your studies. so I have been. in my studies I've been focusing a lot more on the people we're going to teach, instead of my goal to read through the bible.
and it's been interesting. I'm still working on it but the time goes by faster and I think it'll pay off in the long run. (by the way, I just finished the book of Lamentations today. and it coincides extremely well with what i'm reading in the book of Mormon. it's just so cool to see the support the two books give each other.
I can testify that God answers our prayers as we serve His children. We receive revelation for ourselves when we seek revelation for others. It's truly in losing ourselves that we find ourselves. I don't have all the answers I'm seeking yet.... Nevertheless, I know missionary work brings a healing power into our lives.
Love you all!
