Good Good Times

Hola!

So Steve was less active... well, in active for 12 years. his family was pretty active. we just went over every week and shared little spiritual thoughts. Well, Steve decided to come back to church. I think for several different reasons. He  has a social conversion but he wants to figure out the spiritual things. We started teaching him the lessons. I love this family. Steve said the closing prayer, and his wife cried. He told us we can count him as a conversion. we're still working through his questions. but he's committed. he even came to church instead of watching the play offs. I think his faith is growing. we talked about how a belief is just something you want to be true. and then you can ask God if it is true. I really believe that. perhaps all religion is invented to fascinate our minds, and if it is, at the end of my life I will have been a good person and I've been happy. and if it's true, how proud will I be of my choices when I stand before God and I can live with Him. :) I'm looking forward to our lessons with him.

Jackie is all set for her baptism on Saturday. her family is not supportive at this point. She got a blessing and in it God said that when there is a lot of opposition, there is a lot of good. it's the law of heaven. I thought about my own experiences. how I've had a lot of experiences that were hard, and just thought about how the law of opposition means that good must be there too. i'm feeling that good now, i'm hoping there will be good in future relationships.

On exchanges this week, I met a transvestite, taught a schizophrenic, and had steak at their bishop's house. it all really does balance out. ;)

we have several potential investigators that we're trying to find a good time with. it's been a good week. we have another baptism next Saturday. good good times.

Love you all!
