hello!
Tao is a new investigator! she's in her 60"s and from Vietnam. her mother just passed away in march and she's very sad about it. she misses her a lot. Sister Aird introduced us to her and we testified that the Gospel of Jesus Christ will give her the comfort that she's looking for. the spirit was so strong. she smiled and said that it was nice. we're meeting with her on Tuesday.
We met with Danielle again and her husband was there! We didn't really teach anything... because the Spirit didn't direct us. We just spent time getting to know him. he has some cool stories and he's very friendly. here's hoping he begins to feel more comfortable with the church.
have I told you about Jesse and Missy? They're AMAZING! I love their family. they have 2 little boys. They're less active but have such strong testimonies. we had dinner with them (missy is an incredible cook) and we taught them the plan of salvation. they really want their family to be sealed... I hope it gave them some motivation. I attached a picture. it was a candid one from a couple months ago. there's just so much love I love it. haha
because I've had the flu the last 2 days I feel like this week has been so long. we missed church and we got a ton of texts asking us if we needed anything. there's a lot of people that love us.
I was joking with the bishop the other day that this ward is the finder and fixer ward. we find amazing people to baptize and then they move. and converts move in that never had strong testimonies so we teach them again and fix what the other missionaries didn't do well. even though they weren't taught well the first time.... they are craving it now. honestly, it's a little frustrating that there's not a baptism at the end, but as we strengthen their testimony, their commitment to follow Christ increases, which is really what baptism means.
we had another flat tire Friday morning. and I knew how to put the spare on! i'm pretty proud of myself. the elders were impressed that we didn't need help. haha
love you all!
talk to you on MOTHER'S DAY!!!! :D
