Transferred!!
Hello!
We've had a fun day :)
Sis Tuia is so chill. It's so refreshing! And our visa waiter is named Sister Bair. (not baird haha).
She's a go getter. This area has a lot of room for improvement.
I'm excited to gain the trust of the members and build up the area.
It's a project that will take time and lots of love.

Good thing I got both. :)
Love you all!

Pure Faith...
This is the Ghormley family! Missy and Jesse and their two boys, Jack, and Wyatt.
I LOVED going over there and talking about the gospel. jesse always has such good questions.
Missy is a fantastic cook and has such pure faith.
Jesse is working toward receiving the priesthood so he can bless their new baby in march :)
The fact that they're working towards that and the temple, and making significant headway is amazing.
I love this family so much. I haven't quite understood they're not in my ward yet... but in 'n out is close :)

Goodbye Meadows 5th Ward! Hello Cheyenne Ridge, Lone Mountain Stake!
Well! Meadows 5th, Good bye! at least for now. I've made so many deals with so many people, I'll be coming back to say hello again.
I've known for a little bit that i'd be transferred today. On Saturday I got the official call. We spent the day running around trying to see everyone I wanted to say goodbye to.
Saturday evening there was a Ward BBQ. it was FANTASTIC. We planned on 60 people - 104 came!!!! (we ran out of food. oops!) non members and less active members. lots of talking and games. it was so great. I really love this ward. it feels like i'm leaving family.
Sunday was nice also. many of the people that I've grown to love so much were at church. they've progressed so much. I kept getting the distinct impression that God was so happy with the work that I have done here.
It was imperfect but what Heavenly Father needed for His children. It's such a good feeling to leave a ward better than what it was when you came to it.
I wish I could tell you all about everyone in the ward. the funny dynamics and the incredibly spiritual moments. But I don't feel like words do it justice. I write in my journal every night and every night I think 'how can I even describe what just happened?" It's changing me. Maybe that's how i'll share it with you. Hopefully you'll just be able to see it in me.
So tonight at 5 i'll be going to the Lone Mountain Stake - the Cheyenne Ridge ward. My companion will be Sister Tuia. she's from Hawaii. She was companions with sister baird in the mtc and she says she's about the same age as I am. she's happy and laughs and it sounds like she works hard.
We'll also be getting the first Sister Visa Waiter! A visa waiter is someone who's going to a different country but hasn't gotten their visa yet. This sister, I heard is eventually going to Brazil. So we'll be in a tri-companionship for who knows how long. we've had tons of elder visa waiters, but this is the first time we've had sister visa waiters. I've never been in a tri companionship before. I am hoping for the best.
Apparently this ward has a lot of families that are gluten free so it should work out pretty good for me.
My favorite thing about the mission: feeling the spirit while teaching.
Having the Spirit at the base of friendship is a beautiful thing.
Love you all!

Baptism!
:D I sure love getting your emails and letters.
This is my Sept 3 letter:
Nikki's baptism was WONDERFUL!!! Her whole family was there and 3 of her friends. It was a great time that there hearts were softened. they've always been supportive but I think they're starting to have more questions. one of her friends, Gloria is very interested in the church now. she lives in a different area but i'm still really excited about it.
Sammie has gone off to college in Salt lake and the details are all getting arranged for the baptism in st George. she's so solid.
Sister Marquardt... is not doing well. we've been seeing her every day in the hospice center. she's not able to speak anymore but she did acknowledge that we were there yesterday. we'll see about today. it's so sad. I wish I could hold her hand all day so she doesn't have to be alone when her family isn't there. I wish I could have a conversation with her and she'd tell me her stories. I love her so much and I don't want her to be alone when she does pass away. I keep praying for that.
I'm out of time. actually I ran out of time and couldn't send it but an elder let me use his time to send it off.
LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!!!!
LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!!!!

P.S. Sept 9th
It's been a very rough week. Sister Marquardt passed away on Wednesday. :'(
And the Holbrooks have decided to move back to Illinois.
We've done a lot of service this week. It's a nice way to break up the regular routine.
love you!
Sister Cornelsen
