Quirk

Dating life in Provo is funny. Here's a quirk I've been wondering about.

I wonder if guys intentionally act immature when they realize they're not as into a girl as he thought he might have been. Here's what I imagine the thought process to be, "She's cool, but not as cool as I thought. How can I stop dating her without it being completely awkward... I know! I'll be slightly immature so she doesn't like me anymore!"

Even if guys don't do it, I think it's a good tactic. It leaves you on a friendly status so that's it's not awkward seeing each other. And you don't have to have a DTR (Define The Relationship).

Or maybe this guy really was just young. Oh well, either way. I'm free!

People

Have you ever noticed how there are different levels that you can live what you believe?

There's people who have the title but don't believe it.

There's people who have the title and believe it but are scared, somehow, to live it.

There's people who have the title, believe it in every core of their being, and it shows in everything they do.

The last category includes my roommates. They are some of the most sincere, genuine, loving people I know. I've learned so much from them in just the month that we've been roomies.

I've learned that if you approach everybody with an attitude of making them feel God's love, it's not scary to talk with people. In fact, it's a lot easier to get to know them. I want to know why Heavenly Father loves them, aside from the general fact that we are all His children. For example, what talents and gifts have they been given and developed? What quirks do they have that just makes them into who they are? Why do they value some things and not others?

Granted, I don't actually ask those questions, but it's the kind of thing I learn from our interaction.

People are amazing. We all have a little crazy in us, but we also have a lot of awesome.
